FAQ's

Does all the money you raise go to the developing world?
We're pleased to say that pretty much all of it does. 85% of the money we raise goes directly to Africa. 14% goes on fundraising activities which enables us to generate even more money. And just 1% goes on administration – a regular donation really does help cut down on the paperwork!

Do any of your members/volunteers receive a salary?
Our members and volunteers are unpaid. This will remain the case for the forseeable future, until the Foundation requires full time employees.

  Are donations tax deductible?
US taxpayers your donation is tax deductible and greatly appreciated; Imion Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation Tax ID# supplied on request. As per IRS instructions donations of $75 and more receive a receipt otherwise print copy of invoice after payment as your donation receipt.

We also intend to have an open accounting policy. Contributors can view our accounting records from the end of September 2008 (fiscal 3rd quarter).

How far along are you toward achieving the goal of your first project?
We are a relatively new Foundation and are in discussions with several corporate sponsors regarding sponsorships of our projects. At the end of June 2008 we will add indicators of how we are building toward each goal.
